Civil Ceremonies in Wexford

     

  • Important Changes took place in Irish Marriage Law in 2007, resulting in Civil Ceremonies being allowed to take place in venues other than registry offices or Churches.

What do we need to do to have our Civil Ceremony at the Talbot Wexford?

	The first thing to do is apply to the HSE Civil Registration Office. Unfortunately we cannot apply on 	your behalf.

How long in advance do we need to apply?

	Applications should be made at least 3 months in advance, but we would advise to apply as far in 	advance as possible to guarantee your requested dates.
	

How much does registration cost?

	Registration costs €150.
	There is also a charge of €24.45 per hour for the Registrar on the day of the ceremony. 	
The Registrar is required to be in the building for one hour before and one hour after the ceremony so there will be a cost of €48.90, and the €24.45 will apply for each additional hour the registrar will be in the building.

  

 

Can my guests have a glass of Champagne during the ceremony?

	Unfortunately no food or beverage may be served or consumed in the ceremony room for one hour 	before, during or one hour after the ceremony.
